Dear Parents, Students and Friends
We have arrived at the end of another rewarding and productive term. Thank you for the numerous ways you have supported the college and enriched our learning environment through the ongoing partnership we share. I am most grateful to be able to reach out to families regarding the wellbeing of your children and know we value a common approach to ensuring behavioural expectations are maintained and student safety is upheld.
Congratulations Year 12!
This week has been a very special time for our Year 12 students who have celebrated with a Year 12 Breakfast, Graduation Mass and Awards ceremony, final Farewell Assembly, Guard of Honour and Luncheon. Wednesday was their final day and marked a significant milestone in their lives, a moment filled with both celebration and reflection. I am filled with pride and admiration for each of them. They have navigated the challenges of their final year with resilience and determination, and I applaud them for all the hard work that has brought them to this point. They have faced the challenges of their senior years with a spirit that embodies the very best of our school community. They have built lasting friendships, created unforgettable memories, and learned lessons that extend far beyond the classroom. Each of them has contributed to our school in unique ways, enriching our community with their talents, kindness, and creativity.
As they stand on the brink of adulthood, I encourage them to carry forward the values we hold dear: compassion, integrity, respect, and a lifelong love of learning. The world is vast and full of possibilities. Their Catholic education and faith will hold them in good stead. Some of them will be pursuing higher education, others will enter the workforce, and some may take a path less conventional. Whatever direction they choose, the journey is uniquely theirs. I encourage them to embrace every opportunity, challenge the status quo, and never underestimate the impact they can have on those around them.
I congratulate parents and carers of our Year 12 cohort and thank them again for their unwavering support. They have nurtured and encouraged these young adults every step of the way. Their sacrifices and love have played a crucial role in their success.
To the teachers, I thank them for their dedication and commitment. They have not only taught but also inspired these young people to be their best selves. Their influence will extend far beyond their education at the college. As we bid farewell to this remarkable group, I encourage them to stay connected. Cherish the friendships they have built, reach out to their teachers, and remember that they will always have a home at Carroll College.
Congratulations, Year 12! Take this next step with courage, passion, and an unwavering belief in yourselves. The future is bright, and it is yours for the taking! We wish you well for your upcoming HSC exams.

Graduation Mass
As Term 3 comes to a close, it’s a fitting time to reflect on the many milestones we’ve shared as a school community. One of the most significant highlights was our Year 12 Graduation Mass on Tuesday night, where we gathered to celebrate and give thanks for the journey of our graduating students. The theme for the Mass, taken from the Gospel of John, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12), resonated deeply as a reminder of the light that each student carries within them. Throughout their time at Carroll College, our Year 12 students have grown in faith, knowledge, and character, ready to be a beacon of hope and positivity as they step into the next chapter of their lives.
This meaningful celebration would not have been possible without the tireless work and dedication of Mrs Belle Barling, who played a key role in organising this beautiful event. From coordinating with staff, students, and families to ensuring every detail reflected the significance of the occasion, Mrs Barling’s efforts were instrumental in creating a Mass that was both uplifting and memorable. Our sincere gratitude also goes to the talented musicians who enhanced the atmosphere of the Mass with their beautiful performances. Their music added a layer of reverence and joy, allowing us to truly reflect on the significance of the occasion.
Operation Christmas Child
In addition, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our parents and families for their generous support of Operation Christmas Child. Thanks to the enthusiastic response to our recent bake sale, we raised more than $500. In addition, your participation in creating homeroom shoeboxes means we have more than 30 shoeboxes filled with gifts, to send to children around the world. This effort would not have been possible without the collective support of our school community, and it is a wonderful example of how we can come together to make a difference in the lives of others.
As we move into the holiday break, we encourage all our students and families to take time for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation. We look forward to Term 4 with excitement as we continue our shared journey of learning and faith.
We wish everyone a safe and restful break.

The dedication shown by our students has been commendable. They undertook extensive research, planning, and execution phases, culminating in impressive final products. Each project was accompanied by an 80-page folio documenting their design process, from initial concepts to final evaluations.
We congratulate all Year 12 students on their outstanding achievements in their Major Design Projects. Their hard work, creativity, and commitment have truly shone through this term. As they prepare for their next steps, we look forward to seeing how these skills will further develop in their future endeavours. Well done to everyone involved!

2k24 Gridiron
On Monday 23 September, Year 10 hosted the 2k24 Flag Gridiron Tournament. This is an annual event that our Year 10 students have been preparing for all of Term 3. Attendance and participation was excellent and for some of our students, it was their first-ever experience of playing in a tournament/team sport environment.
Year 10 were in charge of all facets of the day including uniforms, training, tactics, umpiring, officiating, announcing/DJ, media and set-up. They did a tremendous job and should be proud of their efforts. Team Brady, Team Fogarty, Team Large and Team Thane took to the field in six exciting pool games and two worthy finals.
Congratulations to Large’s Lifeguards who were crowned tournament champions. Our student voted MVP’s for the day were Kodi Perkins and Grace Colebrook. Our Combine champions were Luke Drewson and Miah Chatfield. Well done to all of Year 10 for their organisation of the day and their amazing team spirit. We are already looking forward to 2k25!!!
