Our College

Welcome to Carroll College

Carroll College is a Year 7 to Year 12 Catholic co-educational college located in twelve hectares of land along George Bass Drive, Broulee NSW. The architecturally designed campus complements the idyllic bushland which surrounds the campus and students have ready access to the many beautiful beaches on the South Coast.

Carroll College offers a holistic education meeting the needs of students from Year 7 to Year 12.

We offer:

...a Catholic education

We are a Catholic school that follows the teaching of Jesus Christ and His Church. Families of all faiths feel welcomed as valuable and important members of our community. Our school has a culture of learning, respect for differences, cooperation and friendship. Partnerships between families and schools are paramount.

...a rich curriculum

We offer programs that engage the students' natural curiosity and desire to learn. A student centred approach to learning is central to our teaching and learning philosophy. Quality Teaching and Learning outcomes are incorporated into all programs in the College. Our middle school approach to learning in Years 7 and 8 and our emphasis on literacy and numeracy ensure our senior school students are well prepared to excel in senior studies. We provide both academic and vocational pathways for our students. Information and Communication Technologies are integrated into teaching and learning at the College. Academic achievement matters at Carroll College. Carroll College students excel in the Higher School Certificate examinations and external examinations in National English, Maths, ICT and Science competitions.

...a caring community

Our Pastoral Care system is based on affirmation, respect and encouragement. Parents are involved and active participants in their child's learning. Carroll College provides a secure and safe environment where students develop the skills necessary for lifelong learning. We offer a carefully designed transition program from Year 6 to Year 7. We offer flexibility in our fee payment plan, and are sensitive to the hardships that come, often unexpectedly, to members of our community. Our highly competent and professional staff are committed to excellence in education.

...a broad range of extra-curricular activities

Policies and programs at Carroll College focus on helping each student to learn for life.  Our students have represented us at the highest levels in almost every sport. Carroll College students also participate in the Lion’s Club Youth of the Year Award and Rotary Public Speaking Competitions. Students are provided with many opportunities in the performing and creative arts; including College musicals, Variety Concert, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Art Exhibition and drama performances.  In almost every business outlet and enterprise in our shire and well beyond, there are Carroll College students and ex-students who are living life to the full. Their reality is grounded in their community’s dream to have a Catholic College on the coast and in the shared dedication and trust which has brought that dream to reality.

Carroll College, St Bernard’s Primary school, Batemans Bay and St Mary’s Primary school, Moruya work closely together to provide a Kindergarten—Year 12 pathway for Catholic Education on the South Coast.

Carroll College is well equipped to support students in their learning. Classrooms are open, engaging and exciting places to learn. The staff are highly committed, caring individuals who seek the best outcomes for their students. Teaching and support staff are well trained to respond to the needs of students.
